CIVIL SIDE.

Judgments. His Worship to-day delivered judgment in the cases in which. James Morrow sued John Sprague for £7, for work done, and Frederic Bennett sued Wm, H. Cassin for £18, due for wages. -" In the first case His Worship said although he had grave doubts as to the intent of the law on the subject", yet there was no doubt but that the work had been done, and that Sprague had reaped the benefit therefrom. Judgment would be given for plaintiff, the costs limited to Court costs—l3s. In the second case His Worship said he had merely deferred judgment to enable the defendant's solicitor to appeal if he chose. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, £2 10s. Leave to appeal granted.
