July, 21. It is reported that a hitch has occurred in the 'Frisco, contract in reference to the power of the American Company under their charter to combine with four qther companies. The Government postponed their resolution asking for the sanction of Parliament to the contract.

The Macgregor reached San Francisco, but the date is not given. Hanley Bennett, of the Assembly, who was incarcerated during an unsatisfied judgment, has been released. The Attorney-General expressed his opinion that members had the same immunity from arrest as members of the House of Commons.
