RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
THIS DAY. (Before W. Fbas'er Esq., R.M.).
DBTTNKENNESS,
Thomas Kelly was charged with hating been drunk and incapable in Shortland on Saturday night. Defendant pleaded guilty, and said it was the first time he had been before a magistrate for drunkenness, and hoped he would be let off as he wantedto get back to Tairua. In answer to the Bench, defendant said he had been a soldier.
The Bench said he could go this time.
