ALBION.
Crushing for this company has been carried on at the Prince Alfred battery with 5 head of stampers for the past two weeks, and ha* now been stopped, owing to the difficulty of working in the stopes ; this will be remedied in a few days; ventilation being secured, stone will be broken out and the milling resumed. The present cleaning up yielded 79 ozs retorted gild, which on melting produced .77 ozs 10 dwts.
