THIS DAY. (Before J. Kilgotjr and E. W. Puckey, Esqs., J.'sP.)

Georgo Smith, alias Deycock, who was charged' with being drunk and incapable in Brown street, Grahamstown, pleaded guilty and was fined 10s and costs. John McLaughlan, who did not appear yesterday, in answer to a summons, was again charged witii a breach of Sec. 28, Bye-law No. 3, Borough of Thames, by allowing one goat to wander at large in Queen street. The reason for defendant's non-appearance was, that he was absent in Napier, and, his wife being ill, his daughter, Catherine McLaughlan, was allowed to answer the summons. She pleaded guilty, and was fined 2s 6d and costs.
