(Bcforo jaoksok Ebddell, Esq.) iLM.) DBUNKENNESS. Mary Ann Hey wood was charged' with being drunk and incapable in-Willoughby* street, Shortland, on the 14th instant. ■/■, Defendant pleaded guilty. This was the second conviction, and a fine of 20s, or 48 hour*' imprisonment j was inflicted. _ ■ ' . VAGEANCY. The same defendant was charged with a breach of the Vagrant "Act by making use of indecent language within hearing of persons passing in a public place, to wit Eyre-street, Shortlaud, on tho 15th instant. - - ' - *'< ' ■ Defendant pleaded guilty, and begged j tearfully to be let off. * • ~~A The laaguage was written down and handed to the Bench, ard the 8..M. said, he had never- hoard of such' disgusting 1 language being used even by. a man, and he had had a good many cases before him. Defendant must' pay 20s, or undergo seven days' imprisonment. The Court adjourned.
