THE following Notice under t^e Stamp Duties Act, which appeared in the New Zealand Gazette of 13fch May, 1869, is republished foe general information :— Chablts 0. Bowen. N O T I C E. : The attention of Executors, Administrators, Legatees, and Succesßors, is called to the prQTiai'ns of the Stamp Duties Act, 1866, which require :— 1. That Executors and Administrators shall, in the case of all legacies, annuities, or residues paid by them, furnish to the Stamp Office full accounts of such payments, arid shall pay the duty assessed thereon within sixty dajs thereafter; and in the cuse of legacies, annuities, or residues retained in trusty sliall, before any such retainer, furnish to the Commissioners full particulars thereof, and sh4l pay the duty assessed thereon within fourteen dajs of such assessment; and Bhall furnish accounts of all successions under any will or/estHte executed or administered by ihem, ysbAepoQ as the successor shall bocome beneficially entitled thereto ' ':■" 2. That Legatees receiving legacies shall givn receipts in the prescribed form, which receipts must bear date on the diy of signing, and must be brought to the Stamp Office to be ftiimped within Bixty days thereafter, otherwiee such receipts become invalid. 3.
