I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed by the Colony. Participation in ProfiU is authorised by the Legislature to bo giren to Policy-holders. 2-Premium rates are lower than those ef Prirate Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their Talue, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhausted in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurer*, after haying paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums;. and if for any reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paid* up Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much inexcesi. 6—Thirty days of grace are allowed on all Benewal Premiums. -7—Liberal conditions as to tmek ling and residence* B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy* —An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, Sewage on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or intolyoncy laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent of £200; after fire years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in * favour of the personal represent at ire of the Insured. * 9 —Married women may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single j and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies- —Policies effected for the boncfit of, the wife and children of the Insured arc absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not lets than seven years. " If apportisnment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commiisioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured.
