George Leycock was charged with having been drunk and incapable in Pollen street, Shortland, on the 27 th instant.- . , :■. - : ■', ■ ■ - . :-■ ; He was very sorry to say lie was guilty. He had no money, having come: from Tairua yesterdayj and was left by his mates. He could get lodging if he ■ was let off. His worship said he could get lodgings in the lock-up. Defendant said he had been sis years on the Thames, but had been at Tairua for some time, where his brother had a farm. He pleaded hard to be let off ; : : :: '- , ; Mr Bullen said the police were unacquainted with the man. His Worship told defendant it was a good thing he was not. known by the police, i and discharged him. ,
