The following motion by Mr Bastings in the Provincial Council is expected to lead to a trial of strength:—" That the financial proposals brought down by the Government are not satisfactory, and that the present distribution 5 of execu^ve officers has not been found to be conducive to the proper administration'of the' affairs of the province.
