RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT

THIS DAY.

(Before H. Goldsmith and E. W. Puckey, Esqs., J.P.'s.) DRUNKENNESS. One man was punished in the usual manner for having been drunk. BREACH OF BYE-LAWS Benj. Greenwood was'charged with a breach' of Bye-law No. 3 of Borough of Thames, in obstructing the footpath in Pollen street, Shortland, by placing goods thereon. Defendant pleaded guilty and was fined 2s 6d and costs. F. Wells was charged with a breach of Bye-law No. 3 of Borough of Thames, by furiously riding. through a public thoroughfare, to wit Tararu Road. Defendant admitted the offence, and was fined 10s and costs. The Court adjourned.
