.V E W ZEALAND GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I— The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Folicy is guaranteed by the Colony. Participation in Profits iv authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. 2-Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their Value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the Policy is exhauited in payment of premiums. s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premium's, are guaranteed a cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, -of the paid*up premiums; and if for aay reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be insued, generally equal in amount to the premium* paid, and often much in excess. 6—Thirty days of grace ««allowed on all Renewal Premiums. 7— Liberal conditions u'to travelling and residence.. B—Policies protected from Bank-ruptcy-—An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, bonafide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected lo the extent of £200; after five years, to £500; after seven years, to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. ■■ This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies lire protected from tlio debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies —Policies effected fur the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or anyporied not.less than seven years. If apportianment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production o!f Probate or Letters of Administration, thus Having great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt ..payment of Claims and no discount'charged.
