Tairua.

(FBOM A COBBESI'OJTDENT.) . , Monday.

Mr Neevos gave *me a piece of stone, thickly studded with gold, which, he says, came out of a new reef found in the . Prospectors' Claim, to the westward of any present workings, and which I enclose in this despatch. I have also been shown by another gentleman as nice a specimen as I ever taw on the Thames, and which, he informed me, came out of the claim next the Prospectors'. I have been told that the big reef in the Prospectors has been traced, for a .. distance of three miles, and at the latter point a person has pegged, having a big , outcrop with bearings similar to the Prospectors. The loose stuff shows good j prospects. . . , -_ „•
