"ENOCH."
To the Editor of the Evening- Stab. ' Siß.-r^Dear me ! is somebody's craft in , * danger, or is somebody else desirous of ,*■ making a few shillings at the expense of ■ . our " periodical P " O, these" anonymous „/; scribblers, what a fuss they make about ■■'■ nothing. However, we are much obliged to them, because they bring our; little °■* truth-teller into greater notice, and cause ;*- ---it to be more read than ever-rjuit what f we want. We don't intend to notic* any } more of them. We come oat openly and j boldly before all the world, if anybody .* therefore wishes to-say anything about ; . our writings, he must take off his cloak <•, and do the same. We wage war against r the mountain of heresy and false practice •; now so prevalent throughout' Christen* .* dqm, and not against'men; but if men ■, should feel aggrieved because they have I the misfortune to be associated with it, | we cannot help that! As regards Mr); ■ Hill, we respect him as a man and a gen- \* tleman, and we do not.think that our-' writings trouble him much;' if they do, he t is a different sort of man to what we have taken him to be. We shall have a fern
calm words to say io everybody, about passing matters, in the next number of Enoch, and we . beseech . people to bf patient until then.—Yours respectfully, .William Woo©. •.
