Messes Marsh and Grout, tomb sculptors, at the corner of Collins and King streets, have (says the Melbourne Herald) executed to order a fine monument for one of the Maori chiefs who died recently. It bears an inscription in the native language. The firm has also finished an inscribed gravestone for another Maori, of lesser note.
