New License.
This morning Mr Thps. Scanlon made application for » License, consisting of 12 men's ground. He is very sanguine that it is in a splendid position, as it adjoins the Prospectors. AH those concerned in the application held a meeting this morning, and made a call- of £5 per share. This looks like business, and if all applicants for leases do this, and apply the money in a right direction, we may soon expect to see Tairua a busy place.
