The Leases.

Great dissatisfaction is expressed at everything and everybody for the evils of the license system by which any person without even a miner's right can peg out thirty acres and protect the same for ten days. Some persons who returned on Saturday and to-day express their disgust at the result of this system. They say that they walked for miles and they found pegs everywhere. As a matter of course nobody is working, but all hanging on to wait the course of events.
