Warden's Office, Thane?, April 14th, 1875. \ PPLICATION has been made by John ZIl Cook far a LICENSE to construct a Water Bace for mining purposes, commencing at a point about two miles up the left hand branch of the Puriri Creek, and terminating on the sideling of the spur, northward of the junction of the :two branches. The length of •uch race is two milei and a half, or there* abouts; and its intended course is south- v . louth-west. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is 2 feefc by 1 foot; it is capable of carrying Five iiluice heads of water, and the number of sluice heads it is proposed to appropriate is If ire. • KOTICE is.therefore'given, that on the 27th day .of May, 1875, a' License will be granted to tbe ciaid John Cook for the above described Water Race, unless valid objection be in the meantime made in writing and lodged at:this office not less than seven clear days before that dute. APPLICATION TO FORMA WATER RACE. ; : Warden's Office, Thames, April 14th, 1875. A PPLICATION has been made by W. C. J^V Wbight for a LICENSE to construct a. Water Race for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the Creek or River, beinStithe first ipain Creek to the eastward of the ground applied for under License, known as tbe Prospectors' Claim, Tairua, about half a mile above the south boundary of the laid Claim, produced eastward, and terminating at a point above the said Creek or lliver on the Prospectors' side, about half a mije below the northern boundary of the said Claim, produced .eastward. The' length, of such Race' being one mile. and a half, or thereabouts ; its intended course is north ward and eastward. The mean breadth and depth of such Race is two feet by one foo f; it is capable of carrying Five^sluice, heads; of water, and the number of sluice heads, of forty inches each, whicb^ it is^proposed to appropriate, is Five. _ JTOTIQE is therefore given, that on the 27th day of May, 1875, aLicensewillbegranted . to th« eaid W. 0.
