rI L , VT E W" ZEALAND GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Injmrance Department issues all deSTrable forms of Policies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed ly the Colony. Participation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. 2-Premium rates are lower tfcim those of Private Companies. \ ! 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. ' -i 4—All Policies are non-forfeit--able after one full annual payment to the lull extent of their value, under a special regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original amount, until the surrender-value of the PolwyJs exhausted in payment of premiums. "T '•"> ~r\ * 5— Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are guaranteed a cash surrender .value of' not Jess than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums ; and if for asy reason the premiums are not paid when due, a paidup Policy will be issued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid, and often much in excess. i - ; e^fftirtV (days <tf jgrace »re allowed on all Renewal Premiums. ;.. 7—Liberal conditions as to travel* | ling and residence* B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy. —An lusurance Policy effected by the Insured, lonajide on his own life, is protected from bankruptcy or insolvency laws to a certain amount, which increases with its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years, it is protected to the extent, of £200 j after five years, to £500; after seven yearsi to £1000; after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of the personal representative of the Insured. 9—Married women m«y effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, as if single; and their Policies are protected from the debts of their husbands, according to dura* tion, to. amounts similar to those stated above. 10—Settlement Policies. —Policies effected for the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the extent of £2000, provided that the premiums are payable during life, or any period not lets than, seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. ' 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy "does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount charged.
