Auckland, April 9th, 1875. A PROCLAMATION. NOBMANBY, GOVERNOR. Whereas, bj the Bth section of the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1873, it is among other things enacted that it shall be lawful for the Goreraor from timo to time by proclamation in the General Government Gazette to enlarge, contract, or otherwise alter the boundaries of Gold Mining District under the said Act, and whereas it is among other things further enacted by the one hundred and eighty-seventh section of the said Act, that every District constituted under the Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871, shall be deemed to be a. District constituted under now existing Act; and, whereas, under the provision! of the said Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871, a certain district within the province of Auckland has been proclaimed "a fl-old Mining Disiricb" under that Act, and designated under the name of the Hauraki Gold Mining District*, and the boundaries of such District hare been enlarged under the authority of the said Act; and, whereas, it is expedient further to enlarge the boundaries of the said District as at present constituted, aow, therefore, I, Geobge Augustus ConSTANTimc, Merquis of Normanby, the Gorernor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exerci ing ef every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby jwoclaim and declare that the Boundaries of the said, Hauraki Gold Mining District shall be, and the came aro hereby enlarged so as to include the land mentioned and described in the Schedule hereto. SCHEDULE. The Block of land known as Whenuakite, the Block known as Puraugi, the Block known as Te Puia, the Block known as Te Hobo, the Block known as Te Karo number one, the Block known as Te Karo number two, the Block known as Tairna, the Block known as Rangahau, the Block known as Kopowai, the Block known as Fuketui, the Block known as Wharekawa East number, three, the Block known as Wharekawa East number one, the Block known as Whitipirorua, the Block known as Tautahangn; that portion of the Block known aa Taparahi, Koroago, and Takatakaia, not brfore included within the Hauraki Gold Mining District; and that portion of the Block known as the Pakirarihi not before included within tbe Hauraki Gold Miniag District, as the said Blocks are more particularly described in the Plans lodged iv the Inspector of Surreys Office at Auckland, •xcepting out of the i aid Lands one thousand acres of Native Reserves in the Toirua Block.
