This is how the edi'or of the Warlborough Times writes in his lending columns of bis brother editor of the Express.:—His pape", in fact, has been all alone.a reproach to the district and a bje-word in the colony, for the Tpry practices he now so hypocritical-y decries. He made tbe people's lives a torment to them by Tile personalities, by his diatorti ins of facts,,by his suppressions of the :truth, and by imputing to them motires which had only emanation in his own mind. He permits his columns to be sullied by such headings to local paragraphs as "A I— ," meaning of course "a lie/ and by the admission of letters in which such expressions are used towards hi* journal aa '• a harp...struck by lightning" (meaning by " a. harp" a liar, and br v struck by lightning" blasted); and now, because in some degree he iainaie to f«-el the wounds the keen edge of satire can inflict, he becomn suddenly virtuous ov» rmuch, and he is soiry when any of Ma brethren (his, for sooth) "forget the re*pect due to themselves and the craft ta which they belong," '• Let the ga'leal jade wince," we say, "our withers areunwrung."
