THAMES GOLDFIELD HOSPITAL.

The adjourned meeting of the General Committee was held yesterday afternoon. Present^ W.;lßovre Esq., President; Messrs Frater, Gudgeon, McCullough. ■Baenall, TMTeNab, Dewar, Mcllhone and Bey JVHill, Mr Sims reported that the. sub-cora-xnittee appointed to enquire into the truthfulness of'certain statements made by the nurse, found, upon entering into the matter, that,, although it was true a patient had entered the female ward in an unfit state, upon the nurse complaining she had been discharged. Mrs Dunn was still of the opinion she had been hardly dealt with, bat the committee ■were of opinion that the docter had good grounds for recommending her dismissal. Applications for the situation of nurse were received from Mrs Kiddle, Mrs Dudly and Mary Bunbarry. Mr Eowe said he had maide enquiries respecting Mrs Riddle and found them very satisfactory. Key. J. Will also spoke in. favor of the same applicant, and moved a resolution that she should be appointed to tha vacancy. Seconded by Mr Sims and carried. MEASLES HOSPITAL. As the arrangements made by the subcommittee respecting the Measles Hospital were deferred until the present meeting of the General Committee, after considerable discussion it was decided to Ipave the matter in the hands of the House Committee. The question of payment of the doctor for attending the patients suffering from measles, and also how applicants were to be admitted, came up for discussion. Several members thought the doctor ought to attend,, at least for the present, without making any charge, as it was stated JUr Lethbridge expected to be paid at ihe rate of 7s 6d each visit. Toe mode of admission was to be in the usual way, but with a recommendation from a member of the General Committee, such member being expected to make enquiries into the circumstances of the case before giving the recommendation. ■ ■>_ •_ j- „ Upon the motion of Mr McCullough, seconded by Mr Dewar, Mr Aitken was allowed to have his son to sleep in the hospital. ■;■" „■-.,■ c The auditors were voted the turn of £1 If tack for their wrricei.

The further consideration of the mode of treating the interior of the Hospital was postponed until next meeting. A vote of thanks to the President terminated the meeting. ;
