GOLD RETURN.
The gold return for the week is an exceedingly good one. and at least bears out the statement made above that the number of gold-producing mines are on the increase. Following is a table of claims and the amounts lodged by them during the week:—
To the abore must be added the City of London return, which, at three o'clock was not ovA of the retort. It is expected to be 500 ounces. This, therefore, will swell the yield to considerably orer 2800 ounces of gold.
