THE MANUKAU.

Operations in this mine have undergone no particular change of late. MrDunlop is driving on the No. 3 or main reef, and carrying forward other workings. Prospects appear fair. Owing to the want of water the Tramway battery, at which the Manukau is crushing, has not been continuously at work, so that the show is not calculated to be so good at the next cleaning up, which takes place on Saturday next. It will be three weeks to-morrow since the last cleaning up, but, from the cause mentioned above, the battery has only performed a fortnight's work.
