- Auckland, This day. There was a fire last night again, which destroyed Olson's tomato sauce manufactory. It originated in a large wooden building used as a manufactory, storeroom, and office. A tremendous breeze was blowing at the time. The house adjoining, of ciglt rooms, occupied by Meurant, was destroyed, but the furniture was saved. A large unoccupied space intervened between the manufactory and the next house in the direction the wind was blowing, and by theexertions of the Police and Naval Brigade, was prevented from extending.' 'lhe adjoining gardens and fencing were damaged, and furniture, was injured in its removal 1. The origin-is unknown. Supposed to have originated in the centre of the building, near the fire place. Olson is insured, in the South :PrifcisTi for 1 £2,000; "Loss partly reinsured in the New Zealand. Meurant is also insured in the South British. The Baron Abedare came up the harbour. The voyage occupied 95 dajjs 1 from Plymouth/ She brings 160 immigrants, all in good health.
