The Pembroke tributers in the above; mine have hit upon a nice little leader; near the surface, some specimens from which I have-been shown. \ There is a good display of gold in! the stone, and the tributers will, no doubt, congratulate themselves- upon- the disjeovery they
have made ; while I am inclined to think that the gentleman who lately held it befoi'e Mr Campbell, will feel inclined to wish he had stuck to it. Mr Eidmore threw up his share, believing that nothing was to be made out of the ground, and proceeded to Ohinemuri in order to pick up a good thing there : it may be that he left the best* thing behind him.
