Any amount of disputes over pegging out —both claims and residence sites. Litigation likely to be rife.
Paeroa is nearly deserted, most of the people having gone to Mackay Town and over to Lipsey's Hill.
The Star's pamphlet is taking well. It has given satisfaction to all I have spoken to on the matter. They are meeting with ready sale. Pat O'Neil jumped the Prospectors' Claim last night knd pegged off five men's ground. The remainder was pegged off this morning..
Claims arc protected till Monday next. Some of the fellows who ran and walked so much yesterday are knocked up to-day. The heat and the dust were too much for them.
