The undersigned have been favored with instructions from Messrs Jackson and Russell, Solicitors} Auckland^ to sell by auction* at the Academy of Music, : Grahamstown, on Saturday, the 27th day of Fabruary, 1875, at II o'clock, ALLOTMENTS IN THE OWJ TOWNSHIP OF PAEROA, Situated at Ohinemuri, to be sold for a term of 16 years, at a nominal rental of ten shillings per annum for each allotment. The Auctioneers would call the special attention of Hotel and Storeleepers, Merchants, Speculators, and others to the many advantages afforded for dtßirable investment in this new locality—destined at no distant time to become the most important mining and agricultural centre: in the Colony; To the miner the district offers unparalleled advantages, and ha* already, given promise of great wealth to tnoscr who have spent some time in prospecting it. In a few short weeks after, its opening to the progressive step of the goldinmer it will be covered with a hardworking class, many of thorn possessing considerable means to assist them in developing • its: rich mineral resouroes.- Already hundreds are on their way to the new ground from other important mining centres ; and as its wealth becomes, assured thousands more will follow from far aud near. To the agriculturist and small farmer the flat lands of the neighbourhood, with their ready means of communication along the finest navigable river in the Colony; which runs through its centre, the Upper Thames offers great advantages, and it will very soon be occupied by a great produce-producing, as well as goldmining, community. ; The Paeroa Townskip is situate afc the head df navigation, about 28 miles from Shortland ; and »s far as the district has been prospected at present, it is found to occupy a central position between the auriferous bills of the district—the gold discoveries 'of the Wnitekauri being ei'uate «ome threa miles on one aide, and the Gorge, about four miles on the other. The Paeroa I will therefore be the centre of population for tlio two iilacep, and the landing-place for all. goods. Ofood dray roads are now being made between the two places, through, the Faeroa Township,' and many substantial erections are in progress. Some half-dozen steamers are daily plying td the township from Shortland. Tbe towasbip has been well laid out,; with due regard to the sanitary welfare of a largo population in its arrangement,, and rererves have been mado for religious and charitable purposes. The ferin* of sale are made subject-to a- nominal rental of 10s for each allotment, .go that purchasers may be assured of uninterrupted possession for the full term of sixteen years.
