]^ B W ZEAL AN D . GOVEBNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I—The Government Life Insurance Department issues all desirable forms of Policioe. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed ly the Colony. - Participation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. . < j . 4—All Policies are nori-fprfeitj-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a specif regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policy for the original anjumntj until the surrender«vilue of the 'Policy is. ex* hausted in payment of premiums. ; "' ■ } 5— Absolute Security from Lobs. —Insurers, after having paid' three full an? nual premiums, are guaranteed a' cash Buri render value of-not les* than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; tod if for a»y reason the premiums tre not paid when-due,-•'paid-up Policy will be issued, generally equal an amount to the premiums paid,!and often much in excess. . - 6—Thirty days of grace «• allowed on all Renewal Premiums, 7—Liberal conditions •• to travelling and residence; B—Policies protected from Bankruptcy.—An Insurance Policy effected by the Insured, bonafiie on his own life, is'protected from bankruptcy or insolvency-law* to • certain amount, which increases: with it« duration. Thus, after it has endured for two years,' it is protected to the extent of £200;; after five years, to £600; after seven yearsJ to, £1000; after ten years,, to £3000. This! protection applies only in favour of th« personal representative of the Insured. j ■' "■ ' i 9—Married women ,m»y effect^Polf-j cies, dispose, of the, money by will, as if single;; and their Policies are . protected from. the; debts of their husbands, according to duration, to amounts similar to those stated above.; 10—Settlement Policies.—Policies effected' for the benefit of the wife and; children of the Insured are absolutely pro-: teoted from the claims of creditors to the, extent of £2000, provided that the premiums' are payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made, by will. 11—Probate, &c, dispensed with 1 —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense* with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration, thus saving great expense to, the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims and no discount oharged. { .
