'/ m VT B W Z 1 A.L.IKD, GOVERNMENT LIFE INSURANCE. I— The Government Life Insurance' Department i«sues all desirable forms of Polioies. The Payment of every Policy is guaranteed, by the Colony. Parti* cipation in Profits is authorised by the Legislature to be given to Policy-holders. . 2- Premium rates are lower than those of Private Companies. 3—No Policy or Medical Fees charged. 4—All Policies are non-forfeit-able after one full annual payment to the full extent of their value, under a sptoial regulation providing for the continuance in force of every Policj for the original amount, until the,surrender-value of the Polioj is exhausted in payment of premiums. . s—Absolute Security from Loss. —Insurers, after having paid three full annual premiums, are 7 guaranteed ft cash surrender value of not less than 40 per cent, of the paid-up premiums; and if for any reason the premiums'are'not paid when due* a paidup Policy will be iisued, generally equal in amount to the premiums paid/ and often, muchinixcesii < ' ' 6—Thirty days of grace •» allowed on all Renewal Premiums.
7—Liberal conditions as to travelling and residence* ' . ' " 8-Policies protected from Bankruptcy .—-An Insurance Policy, effected by the Imured, honajide on his own life, is pro* teefced from.bankriaptcy or insolvency laws-to a certain' amount, which increase! with - its duration. Thus, after it has endured for two yean, it is protected fo the extent of £200 } after five years, to £600; after ieven years, to £1000;. after ten years, to £2000. This protection applies only in favour of tke personal representatire of the Insured. 9—Married WOmen may effect Policies, dispose of the money by will, is if single; and their. Policies are protected from the debts of their, husbands, according,to duration, to amounts similar to those stated abbre. 10—Settlement Policies. —Policies effected for .the benefit of the wife and children of the Insured are absolutely protected from the claims of creditors to the" extent of £2000, provided that the premiums tire payable during life, or any period not less than seven years. If apportionment is not made at the time, it can be subsequently made by will. 11—Probate, Ac, dispensed with —When a claim under a Policy does not exceed £200, the Commissioner may dispense with the production of Probate or Letters of Administration;, thus saving great expense to the representatives of the Insured. 12—Prompt payment of Claims 1 and.no discount charged.
