PARAWAI DISTRICT BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of this Board was held at the Board-room on Saturday, at 6.30 p.m. Present.: Messrs Spencer (chairman), Macdonnell, Miller, and Stephenson. ■ ;
After the usual business had been transacted, the disgraceful conduct of; the Mayor and other members of the 'j hames Borough Council, as reported in the Thames Advertiser and Evening Star was, brought under consideration. In the said report of their meeting the Parawai District -Board was charged with defrauding the ."Ratepayers of the Borougfc in respect to the erection of the bridge in Grey-street, and the Mayor was requested to confer with the Chairman of the Parawai Board on the subject. It was unanimously resolved—'That in consequence of the unwarrantable and offensive remarks reported to have been made at the last meeting of the Thames Borough Council towards this Board, relative to the Grey street Bridge, that .the Chairman of this Board is requested not to hold, any verbal comtoiunication with the Mayor, but that all communication on the matter be received only by letter .«*Communicated.
