THEATRE ROYAL.
The Theatre Koyal was well attended last night, when the " Pearl of Savoy " was produced in capital style, Miss Amy Stone sustaining the character of Marie, in a manner very pleasing. This lady also favored her audience with a performance upon the|cx>rnet,* in which class of business, so uncommon in a lady,; Miss Stone can surely have no peer. The other members of the troupe contributed to make the representation of the play a most unqualified success. To-night the management have decided to produce *' Poca-hon-tas." This is displaying a spirit which deserves to be recognised by hearty patronage. "Poca-hon-tas" created a sensation at home. At the time it was brought out Mrs Wood was the shining light of the London stage, and performed in this piece for > one - 'hundred nights. Ihe piece also obtained* a great reception in i the provinces. When, well puj; upon the stage and acted, ■ ■■" Poca-hon-tas " is a burlesque of a high class, and cannot fail of appreciation... It will doubtless prove A success. One thing is to be placed upon the credit side of this company now playing at the Theatre Boy al—and that is the entire absence of anything which could occasion in the most sensitive nature the slightest offence. Always desirous of ,speaking truthfully rin reports generally, •rrors and frauds are condemned, and we

It too often happens, as the Thames has occasionally witnessed, that there is a characteristic broadness, and sometimes worse in a certain class of, theatricals who visit us ; but in the company of # Mr De Lias there is no appearance of this ; and ladies may at least discover refinement there'; of the rest they are left to judge for themselves.
