JHMHE attention of Owners of Machinery X and Steam Borers is called to the provisions of "The Inspection of Machinery Act, 1874," which requires them,: within a month from the date on which the Act is. brought into force, to send a written notice to the Inspect or of Machinery for the district in which such machinery or boiler may be, giving the name of owner, the place where such machinery or boiler is ueed, the naturo of such machinery, and the nature and amount of the moving power. The Act wa?, by Proclamation dated the 26th November last, brought into force in the ProTinces of Auckland, Tarnnaki, Wellington, Maryborough, Canterbury, Otago, and Westland.
