The Wesleyah Conference to day discussed the question whether the Hokitika and Greymouth circuits should be transferred from Wei son to Canterbury district, but decided not to alter the present arrangement. The breach of promise case has fallen through. The skeleton of the girl Bridget Sullivan, who disappeared from home at Fuhoi, months ago. was found in the bush on the banks of the creek. She had evidently lost her way in the bush. The body of the other boy drowned at Biverhead has not been recovered. The Supreme Court has been occupied all day with the case of Chitty v Jollie, for alleged malicious prosecution in the Waikato. The case ia not concluded. At the inquest at Mahurangi on the skeleton of Bridget Sullivan, the evidence relative to the clothes clearly established the identity. A verdict was given expressing the belief that the child was lost in th« bush, but was not the subject of any foul play. Cheistchubch, Tuesday Evening. At the adjourned inquest this afternoon, John Mercer was committed for the wiliul murder of the little girl Isabella Thompson.
