NAVAL BOAT RACE.
The race between the two crews of the JSavals came off at; Shortland to-day. The boats started fairly, and kept rretty well in a line first. They were distinguished by one being a skiff and the other an outrigger, which won by 15 sees , the stiff having something the matter with one of her rowlocks which, rendered it useless. The race, therefore, cannot be looked upon as a fair trial between tbe rowers.
