THE OPENING OF OHINEMUKI.

TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS

1 his morning Te Moananui called on Sir Donald McLean, asking him to attend the meeting of natives at the American Theatre. Sir Donald declined, and said arrangements about the land must be made with Mr Mackay. Te Hira does not/wish to enter on questions affecting the Moehau (Cape Colville) and Waikawau blocks —if Ohinemuri is brought in he will attend. Nothing has been done today, so far as we can learn. The theatre is now being occupied as an office far Mr McLean, so that the meeting this morning was private. The meeting at the American Theatre was adjourned until two o'clock this afternoon.
