Auckland, This day. The inhabitants of Onehunga lait night presented Mr. Q'Rorke with a valuable service of plate in acknowledgment of his disinterested action in retiring from the Ministry. In reiponding, Mr. O'Rorke said the step he had taken was not~ done hurriedly, or on the impulse of the moment, but after mature consideration. Wellington, This day. It is stated upo!n good authority that th« following redistribution of judges will be made after the conclusion of the Court of Appeal: —Judge Arney to remain at Wellington ; Judge Johns tone to go to , Dunedin or Auckland ; Judges Richmond and Gresjon to remain as at present. Judge Chapman is expected to retire. The Chief Justice, Sir George Arney, goes home to England in February next, when Mr. Prendergast, Attorney General, will succeed him.
