WARDEN'S COURT.

THIS DAY. (Before W. Fjeasek, Esq., Warden.} DRAINAGE CABE. . The last of the drainage cases—-Bright Smile Company and others versus the Crown Prince Goldinining Company, Registered—was on the sheet this morning, having been adjourned from Thursday kit, the 29th ultimo. Mr. Macdonald appeared for plaintiffs, and applied for an adjournment on the ground that no authority for any one to appear for them had yet been received from defendants.

The Court granted an adjournment to Wednesday next, the 11th inst. WM. BOWE V. JOHN NBWBY. ____.- The plaint in this case was that defendant was the registered owner of three full shares in the Trafalgar Claim, situated on the Karaka, and that the defendant had failed to bona fide and continuously work the said shares from day to day in accordance with the regulations made under the Goldmining Districts Act 1873; wherefore the complainant claimed that defendant might be adjudged to have forfeited ths said, shares by reason of such non-working as, aforesaid, and that the complainant would have made and given to him an order i& writing by the Warden, authorising him to take possession of the same as the owner thereof. This case was rdjourned from last Court day by consent. William Howe, sworn, deposed—That he was the holder of a miner's right, and that defendant was the registered owner of the shares. < ' Mr. Macdonald admitted that defendant was the registered owner, and that no work had been done. An order was made. HUGH MCIIHOKE V. HENEY KELLY. This was one of those cases in which the Inspector of Miners' Eights prosecuted, the defendant having worked ground within the goldmining district of Hauraki without being the holder of a miner's rightMr. Mcllhone asked that the case might be withdrawn, as there had been a misunderstanding.

The case was withdrawn accordingly. Court adjourned. >
