OUR VOLUNTEERS.
VOLUNTEER CHUfiCH PAEADE. The volunteers turned out for church parade yesterday morning, when, as it fortunately proved, the day was very fine. The muster of tbe Scottish and Navals was exceedingly large, while No. 2 Company mustered about 26 rank and file. The corps assembled at the Academy of Music and marched to the English Church (the other companies having been invited by the N avals to accompany them) headed by the Thames Scottish Volunteers. The bands played alternately, and both evinced an efficiency which is no less a credit to the Thames than to the baudsmasters and members. In their movements, the volunteers displayed an acquaintance with their drill which does them infinite credit, and it is gratifying to know that when the volunteers from other provinces visit the- district, wo shall have cause to be proud of the volunteers of the Thames. Major Cooper complimented the men on their turn out, which was indeed in every respect satisfactory. Capt. Brassey also notified in the Naval shed that those who wished to enter for the interprovincial match must give in their names before next Saturday week.
