Our Mining Reporter.

THE CUBE

The winze is progressing favorably, the depth on the reef having reached 18 feet. The size of the reef is increasing, being at present 2 feet thick, and the quartz showing richer in depth. About 30 pounds of rich specimens were taken out during last night and this morning ; also 30 pounds of picked stone. This is a satisfactory account of the Cure, and will materially enhance the. prospects of the mine.^. The winze has thus been proved, and the expectations with which it was sunk have been fully realised.
