Gbeymouth, This day. A ' gale of wind blowing last night. The Waipara is high and dry, and wil require launching four hundred yards. The river is flooded. The protective works prevent any damage to Greymbuth, but there are serious encroachments at Cobden. The Grey is running immediately behind the houses in the main street. Several buildings are in course of removal. Gkeytown, This day. The flood covered the town again yesterday. O'Meara's house was washed away; the family and furniture were removed by the neighbours. flood is still rising. .-jL HuTTT^Efois, day. The highest flood here for many years —damage unimportant as yet. Pobt Chaimebs, This day. Very bad weather. The Albion could not get out. Captain Kennedy takes command of the s.s. Easeby. Chbistchubch, This day. Heavy rains of late ; almost incessant from Sunday morning till Monday night. Several rivers overflowed their banks. No damage yet—still showery.
