No parcels have been quitted, buyers acting with unusual caution, and showing no disposition to increase^ Btockß v beyond actual requirements. Balers' lots of flour move off at a reduction of 20a per ton on last week's pricps. Southern brands may be quo'ed £13 10s to £14 ; Adelaide, £17 10a to £18. The market is almost bnre of grain.
Maize, 6s; ©at*, 6s ; barley, 5s 6d ; bran, 1? 9dto2s; salt butter (good quality), Is 6d, with short supply ; hams, bacon, and chi-ese, no alteration; potatoes, £11 to £12. Oilmen's stores and groceries are not in excessive supply, and late rates hays not been in favor of importers. Candles, lid; sardines (£ boxe?), 7s; halves, 10s 6d; salmon, 14s; Morton's pickles, lis; salad oil, lis ; ■ castor oil, 9s 6d to 10s ; white starch, 4fd ; jams, 8s to 8s 3d. • ' Edwin Bi&ney.
