THAMES HOSPITAL.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.) Sib,—l have read Dr. Lethbridge's letter in the'Tiser this morning; assuming version of the "ten pound" arrangement to be a correct one, it very ill becomes him to rush into print under E resent circumstances, more especially as c seems on all occasions to flounder in it like a fish in mud. Again, assuming that Dr. L. stands above reproach, indeed I think it would be much more becoming the honor and dignity of a gentleman to entrench himself within that than the course he is-taking. /But about the "ten pound " arrangement I happen to know from memory a little about it, and as far as I know neither the Doctor's statement nor the motive to be. inferred from that are true. Of course I don't say the doctor knows that, and if I could, you know I would not say it. H . w . M .
