Mr. James Craig offered at publio to-day the engine, battery and other plant of tho Shotover G-oldmining Company. The engine, boiler and setting^ were bought by Mr. T. Hicke, for the City of London Compaßy, for £280. The battery, stampers and adjuncts were withdrawn, the bidding not having reached the reserve price. Some miscellaneous lote realised fair prices. At the Warden's Office to-day the Elfieand Unicorn mining leases were sold by the Warden. The Elfie fetched £105, and was bought by Mr. Weston on behalf of the City of London Company. The Unicorn was bought for £3 by Mr. Macintyre for the Slack Angel Company.
