No auction salus havo been held during the w«ek. "Fair inquiry for all description «f goods, but only in small parcels. All kinds of produce, in the absence of supplies; hare advanced and quotations are higher. Hare ■old during the week a fair arerage quantity. Flour in bakers' lots moves off at;'lait week's quotations. , Adelaide tewn brands £18 to £18 10s, slow of sale ; Southern £14 to £15, fair demand; maizs, N.S.W, 5s 9d to 6s, supply bare; oats in moderate demand for seed, and are worth 6s for good sampled; wheat, 5s 9d to 6s; barley, 5s 3d to 5s 6d; bran, Is 9d to 2i; potatoes are Very scarce, and in short supply, commanding full rates according to samples; Oilmen's stores and groceries, quotations nominal; teas are in excess of demand ; salt commands on advance of 20s per ton ; good salt butter is scarce, and worth Is 4d to Is sd; inferior 6d to Is; hams, bacon and cheese, bare supply and freely enquired for, but consun ers are leth to pay the advance which has been established.*
