THE OLD BLACK FOREST.
Smith and party have struck gold in the reef in the shaft in the old Black Forest claim; one piece of ,Stone about ten pounds weight showed gold pretty freely, as also did others from the face. Smith informs me that the find is nothing startling but very encouraging.
