THE DON PEDRO.

The reef in this mine still codtinues to look wtll, gold been frequently, seen in the stone in breaking out. Mr. Walker informs me that there are 70 feet of the lode to work on/ but in a hard country. The men have commenced to rise on tht reef, for the purpose, I presume, of getting stopes. I saw a keg.of nice specimens from this claim —the stone being about the most dense in formation of any seen on the field. The Don Pedro ground run 3 up near to the Moanatairi shaft, and is easy of acceis by the Moanatairi tunnel.
