The canvassers for obtaining signatures for increased representation for Coromandel have returned very successful. The News states that the Coromandel Mail has been let on tribute.
Tattbaitga, This day. Mr. Bodell, auctioneer, has been elected Chairman of the Town Board.
Captain Morris, M.P.C., addresses his constituents to-night. The Tarawera and Ohinemutu Boad will be open in six weeks. Tourists will then be enabled to drive from Tauranga to within eight miles of Botomahana proper. Memorials from the justices to Sergeant Naden, A.C., on leaving the district, are signed by the Resident Magistrate and every J. P. in the place. They are most complimentary to that excellent officer. Another public memorial to him is in course of signature. His loss will be much felt here.
