A PPLICATION lies been made by Wll1\ mam SotfTßß for a LICENSE to Conistruct a Water, Race, for Mining purposes, at JTararu Creek,'commencing at a point.'twenty 'feet below the crosiing of the public road leading'to the City of Duncdin Claio, as marked A on sketch plan lodged with said .application, and terminating »t n point marked B on said plan, twenty feet above |Brbwn and Campbell's Dam. The length 1' of ■such Bace is sixteen hundred ?nd fifty feat pr thereabouts, a,nd its intended course is Westerly. A PPLICATION has been made by James jfL Bekche for a LICENSE to Construct a Water Race, for Mining purposet, at Oollarbone Cr«ek, commencing at a point marked Aon sketch plan furnished therewith, and terminating at a point marked B on' the said plan; The lebgth of such Race is 300 feet or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-west and south-east. The mean breadth, and depth of such Race is'two feet by two feet'; it is capable of carrying Three sluicehaads of water, and the number of sluiceheads of forty inches each which it ispropOßed to appropriate is Two; NOTICE is, therefore given, that on "the 4th day of August, 187.4, a License will be granted to the said James Bbechb for the abore-described Water Race unless valid objection be in the meantime made in'writing and lodged at this office nob less than screE clear days before that date.
