Another charge having been preferred against the accused His Worship decided to hear it before giving a decision. . INDECENT EXPOSUBE. Matiu, a native, was charged with havindecently exposed his person in tt public place, to wit, Pollen-street, Shortland. Defendant pleaded not guilty.: . \ Mr. Sub-Inspector Bullen stated that this was a most aggravated offence,-'the accused having been running about the street screaming, and having nothing but a very short shirt on. The accused said he came' from the Piato the day before yesterday, and landed ia the same state as regards dress. He remembered going to Mr, Puekey's office, but then he thought he had a shawl round him, but could not remem* ber if he had one on when arrested! Constable Martin Madill said that the accused when arrested in Pollen-street had nothing but a short shirt on, and was standing in the middle of the street making a noise. His Worship, for the .first offence, fined the accused 20s, or 24 hours' imprisonment. For the second offence he would fine the accused £5, or one month's imprisonment with hard labor, and added that drunkenness was no mitigation but an aggrvaation of the offence. (The accused was removed in custody* but eventually the fine was paid.) TXNBEGISTESED DOG. , Frederick Bryant was charged with allowing aa unregistered dog to be at, large. - c * Defendant pleaded guilty. Fined ss, and costs. BBEACH OF MUNICIPAL ACT. Frederick Gallagher was charged with unlawfully allowing a horse to remain on < the 1 footpath in Mary-street, Shortland. Defendant pleaded guilty. Fined 5s and costs. ■' TBAWSFBB OF IICEN9B. .
